WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE MESCAL MOVIE SET


HISTORICAL TOURS Visit the historical Western movie set where the majority of TOMBSTONE was filmed. Locations include the Earp Cottages, The Grand Hotel, The Oriental Saloon, Crystal Palace, Campbell & Hatch's Billiard Hall, the OK Corral, and more! ALSO INCLUDED are locations where scenes from The Outlaw Josey Wales, The Quick and The Dead, Tom Horn, and more than 100 classic Westerns were filmed. Tours are available between film productions. UPCOMING EVENT Civil War Artillery Demonstration Attend a “booming event” at the historical movie set! The Mescal Movie Set and Southwest Living Historical Association are sponsoring a Civil War event featuring cannons and re-enactors from the 3rd US Artillery and 1st Texas Artillery. The two-day event will include Historical Tours, artillery demonstrations, food, and excitement scheduled throughout the day. Oct. 21 & 22 TOUR INFO


UPCOMING EVENT Cowboy Christmas Bazaar Don't spend your time standing in a long line in a big box store on Black Friday! Put on your cowboy boots and mosey on down to the Mescal Movie Set. The set is hosting a 2-day event that combines shopping, great food, and Christmas cheer - at the historical film set used in your favorite western movies, such as Tombstone and Outlaw Josey Wales. HISTORICAL TIDBIT

The Outlaw Josey Wales Clint Eastwood's MalPaso Productions built our Mercantile Store for "The Outlaw Josey Wales." Remember the famous line "Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie?" The store was also The Kid's Gunshop (Leonardo DiCaprio) in "The Quick and The Dead." The store is featured during our Historical Tours.  SET HISTORY



Volunteer Opportunities Join the Mescal Team and Support the Renovation of the Historic Set The Mescal Movie Set is run by volunteers restoring and reviving the historic set. The Mescal Movie Set Volunteer program offers people with the right skills, motivation and attitude the opportunity to work hard and be a part of the restoration. Volunteer positions include historians, special projects, streetmosphere and more. LEARN MORE
