WHAT'S HAPPENING AT THE MESCAL MOVIE SET

SAG-AFTRA STRIKE IS SETTLED Actors ratified a deal with production studios and ended a strike that affected the entertainment industry for nearly four months. The most hard-fought issues included controlling the use of artificial intelligence and bringing payment systems in line with the growth of streaming services.

Holiday Visitors Arriving? Tour a Historical Filme Set! Visit the historical Western movie set where the majority of TOMBSTONE was filmed. Locations include the Earp Cottages, The Grand Hotel, The Oriental Saloon, Crystal Palace, Campbell & Hatch's Billiard Hall, the OK Corral, and more!  ALSO INCLUDED are locations where scenes from Outlaw Josey Wales, The Quick and The Dead, Tom Horn, and more than 100 classic Westerns were filmed.

Historical Tidbit The Earp Cottages From the movie TOMBSTONE The cottages used by Virgil and Wyatt Earp (Sam Elliott & Kurt Russell) were modified and restored to an 1880s look for the film "Tombstone". Before "Tombstone", they were used in season three of the TV series "The Young Riders" (1992). Virgil's cottage was built as the bunkhouse for the Pony Express riders (including Josh Brolin & Stephen Baldwin), and Wyatt's cottage was created as a home for Miss Rachel. (Clare Wren).

The Mescal Movie Set Volunteer program offers people with the right skills, motivation and attitude the opportunity to work hard and be a part of the restoration.
